Plans are being laid to connect the traffic circle at the apex of Oakland Parkway easterly to the intersection at the top of the hill on US 82/520. The new streetscape will be a shaded tree lined boulevard with wide sidewalks, friendly cross walks, benches and water fountains that will be the place for new modern retail, medical and restaurants. Discussions are underway now to finalize a deal with two anchor users that will drive foot traffic and support the beckoning residential growth taking place in the Masterplan Community know as “Oakland Plantation”.

By the end of 2018, Oakland Plantation will have a 300 luxury unit apartment community coming on line at “Greystone”, 43 lot upscale gated patio home subdivision with clubhouse known as the “Villa”, The “Oaks”, a 80 bed assisted living facility with an Alzheimer’s wing and then Phase 3 of “The Groves” with 31 more single family residential lots. All this fresh new construction will continue to be a magnet for even more positive announcements coming at the heart of Oakland Plantation along “The Boulevard”.
